The Trade Marketing Executive plays a critical link between Tourism New Zealand and the travel trade ecosystem. The role manages the execution of Tourism New Zealand's business development and B2B marketing communications strategies for The Americas region and ensures that travel partners and advisors are equipped with the right knowledge, tools, and motivation to promote New Zealand effectively. You'll play a key role in strengthening New Zealand's brand and driving visitor growth.
We do this by developing digital and content marketing campaigns, building partnerships with travel trade, delivering impactful training and events, hosting Familiarization trips and product development initiatives. The role works closely with the Regional Trade Manager to ensure the delivery of impactful paid and owned campaigns that deliver results and benefit brand New Zealand.
What you will need | Ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūranga
- Ideally Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
- Digital marketing experience (2-5 years) with proven capability across: Social media strategy and execution, CRM/database marketing and segmentation, collaboration with external media agencies.
- Understanding of B2B marketing, including trade partner engagement and advisor training.
- Website content management skills and familiarity with CMS platforms.
- Media analytics and reporting proficiency, including dashboards and campaign performance tracking.
- Presentation and communication skills, both virtual and in-person, for training and stakeholder engagement.
- Project management capability, with ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and stakeholder
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand as a product and destination will be highly regarded
